Micah is at the age where he is always going new things. Yesterday he walked backwards for the first time. I had asked him if I could give him a kiss and he said no and started walking backwards. He got to giggling while he was walking backwards and had to sit down. He was so cute. He is starting to notice things and wants to touch everything. He likes to pull on ceiling fan pulls. He also likes to turn computers off. He is standing right here so I will have to be watchful or he will turn the computer off while I type.
Eli is better. He is so fun when he is playing. He has started talking for all his toys. He will say something and then say "asked Thomas." No matter what he says they always ask it. He told me yesterday that he needed to kiss me. Then patted it in so it would last. I love my boys.

Coughs. runny noses and basketball
We have joined the ranks of the sick. Eli and I both went to the dr today. We both are on a antibiotic. This is the first antibiotic for me in more than 15 years. I can not remember the last time I had to have one. Eli is on a second one this winter and only his four total. We have been so blessed with good health. I noticed right before we left and when we got home from the dr that Micah seemed to be coughing. I hope it does not mean another trip to the dr before the week is out. But it may.
My brother-in-law, Scott, is an assistant coach at Madison Academy. They won today at Birmingham, I think by 11 points. They play Thursday night for a state title. If they win it would be the third in a row for the team. Scott will not be worth anything just because they have gotten this far. If they win it will summer before he comes down out of the clouds. If you ask Eli who he is going to be like when he grows up it is Scott and Glenn, my other brother-in-law. He is going to be big and tall like them both. God has truly blessed my sisters with good men.

Driving
Eli and I were talking the other day while driving and I was saying how big he was getting. His reply was that he would be able to drive tomorrow. I, of course, told him that it would be about 13 more years before he could drive. And I know those 13 years will pass to quickly. We were laying down last night for bedtime and I again said something about he big he was getting. Eli replies, Yes and tomorrow I get to drive. He loves cars and trucks and trains and everything else with wheels I guess the desire to drive is strong already.
Yesterday, the boys and I went to eat lunch with my cousin, Kiley. We had a few errands to run first so we stopped at Target. As I am parking, Eli says, "Mama, you can drop me and Micah off up there and I am big enough to watch us." He was so serious. Eli loves to help with Micah and wants to be so big. His time will come soon.
Micah is walking so well. Today after I got home from work it seemed like he was walking so much faster then yesterday. Before long he will be running right along with Eli.

Last few days...
The last few days have been so very busy. I had to work Friday of course and Saturday was my day to work. We had a busy Sunday. We have Bible Bowl on Sunday afternoons. I teach the Junior class, grades 3-6. I have some very smart kids. They did so well on Sunday and won the competition. That made 4 out of the five we have had. March will be the last one till September.
The boys still have runny noses. It seems like we will have a day or two where it seems the stuffiness is better and then days like today where it seems all I have done is wipe noses. I wish the weather would either be warm or cold. It would help everyone out. Oh well, it could be worse. Be thankful it is only a runny nose, Bekah!
Micah is a true walker now. He is doing great! It is so fun to watch him walk around. He was trying to hold Bryleigh's hand today as they walked down the hall. He did good for a few steps and then would get off balance and sit down. It was priceless. He is getting to where he will copy Eli also. Eli was "working" on the table in the dining room and a few mintues later here came Micah with the same tool trying his best to do the same things Eli had been. Eli is still doing pretty good sharing toys with Micah. We are starting to have a harder time about certain toys but overall still going good. It is amazing at how fast they grow.

Micah's one year check
We went Thursday for Micah's one year check. He weighs 23 lbs and 9 ozs and was 30 inches long. He is getting so big. Everything was great. He decided that being on the table for the dr to check him was not fun and for the first time, save shots, cried. He got two shots and has been pretty good. I can not believe that my baby is a year old.

Smart boys
I know that all parents are biased about their children being smart, but I must share some stories about mine. Eli is standing here right now telling me I need to spell E-l-i. That is not one of the stories but he is being too cute.
Micah was sitting in Eli's room today playing with some of the toys while Eli and I were in there. Eli has some of the Catapiller toys and some have three buttons on them. Micah would mash a button on one of the toys and then turn to another and mash the same button. There are two circles and one square shaped button all in a row and he would mash the button in the same place each time. It amazed me. Then he has an airplane flying it in the air. At one and four days old he is amazing.
Eli was sitting with Lollie looking at a number book yesterday. They would count the trains and then Eli would find the number. The fact that he can tell you what a 2 or a 6 or a 7 is great. I am already torn with do I keep him out a year or go ahead a start next year when he turns 5. That is the biggest draw back to him having a birthday at the end of July.
I have been so blessed with the two childern God has given me.

Happy Birthday...Micah
It is hard to believe that one year ago today, I made a trip to the hospital and welcomed a new baby boy. This year has been full of so many smiles and milestones reached. Micah turned one today. It is a sad day in that my baby is not so little anymore. This week has been full of tears for him. He has a fat lip from getting to close to a chair Friday, a mashed finger today and a bruise that is just about gone from falling in Eli's room.
We had a party for the family today. That was enough for us. Winnie the Pooh was on Micah's cake. He was so cute playing in his cake. He did not want to eat the cake. He feed Mommy instead. He did enjoy playing in the cake though. He was so sweet opening the gifts. He would pull off a little piece of wrapping and hand it to me and repeat till he got the gift unwrapped. Then on to the next gift even if he did not see what was in the bag or box.
